Our Community

The Saint Bernadette Church Community is a vibrant and active community with several groups and year long activities that combine faith, family and fun. Below are lists of groups in the parish followed by some yearly activities that shouldn't be missed.

GROUPS

Pro-Life Group

Our parish has an exceptionally active Pro-Life Group, formed by Sue Gasser and now chaired by Laurie Derry. You can support this group by praying for the unborn and their mothers, helping out at a special event or charity drive, or by being present for a prayerful demonstration at the Spring Street Abortion Mill. Religious Education Enrichment Committee

This committee focuses on the enrichment of the parish Religious Education program. They meet a few times each year to schedule events, field trips, and other activities to enrich the experience of parents, students, and teachers involved on Sundays. Adult Forums of Faith

This new program is focused on the growth of Adult faith in the parish through speakers and forums of discussion. Topics include "Where we got the Bible", "Raising Your Family Catholic", and "Living the Sacraments in your Daily Life". In our downloads section we make these talks available for download to your iPod or MP3 Player Check the bulletin for dates and times.

Holy Name Society

Sodality

A group dedicated to prayer and community service to the Church, Sodality has been active in our parish since the 1940's! Email Mary Agnes for details on upcoming events and gatherings.

Parish Fall Festival

On of the signature events at Saint Bernadette Church is our Fall Festival.

March For Life

Every year, our parish participates in the March for Life on the National Mall. check with the Pro-life Group or the office for details.
